Arrival at Istanbul Airport

Fly into Istanbul airport, where our representative will meet you to transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore Istanbul at your leisure. Meet with your small group, and your tour leader will hold an orientation meeting briefing you on your active tour to Turkey. Overnight and dinner will be at your hotel.

Travel overland to Mount Nemrut

After breakfast, you will hop on your van for an overland trip to Mount Nemrut. In the afternoon, take a tour of the area, including a visit to the Roman-era Cendere Bridge, Karakus Tumulus, and Artemia. Then climb Mount Nemrut, exploring the East and West terraces, and in time to watch the sunset from the mountain's peak overlooking the Euphrates valley. Overnight and dinner will be in your hotel.

Travel to Ufra and Gobekli Tepe

After breakfast, your tour leader will take you on an excursion to Urfa (113km, 2 hours). You will first take a historical walking tour to Göbekli Tepe, then explore the city of Urfa, including the Urfa Museum, Balıklı Göl, and Gumrukhan. In the afternoon, visit Harran. Overnight and dinner in Urfa

Historic walking tour of Ufra City

Meet your local guide at your hotel lobby, who will take you on a walking tour of the old city of Ufra. Today, you will enjoy a city tour of Urfa and visit the ancient site of Harran. Optional 2nd visit to Gobekli Tepe in the afternoon (entrance not included). An optional evening visit to a traditional music show with dinner

Overland trip to Halfeti, Gaziantep, and Zeugma

Travel overland with your small group to Halfeti, Rumkale, Zeugma, and Gaziantep. On the way to Gaziantep, you will stop to visit Halfeti and Rumkale. If time allows us, we will also visit Zeugma. Continue to Gaziantep for a comfortable overnight and dinner at the hotel.

Travel to Ankara

Visit the Zeugma Mosaic Museum and explore the city of Gaziantep, enjoying the renowned local cuisine. Then, trek overland from Gaziantep to Ankara, where you will spend the night.

Historic guided tour of Ankara and its surroundings

Our local guide will lead a small private group in exploring the marvels of Ankara and its surroundings. Today, you will visit the impressive Ankara Anatolian Civilisation Museum and the famous archaeological site of Gordion. If time permits, we will stop at the Ankara Fort. Overnight in Ankara

Travel to Hattusa

After an early breakfast, we will take you to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hattusa and guide you through the site. In the afternoon, we will drive our small group overland to Cappadocia. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.

Cappadocia historic and cultural tour

A full day spent exploring the beautiful area of Cappadocia. Visit the Ozkonak Underground City, Avanos, the Zelve Open-Air Museum, Uchisar Castle, and the fairy chimneys of Avcilar Valley. You will be offered a Cappadocia Optional hot-air balloon ride at an additional cost. Dinner and overnight will be in Cappadocia.

Continue exploring the marvels of Cappadocia

Explore Goreme open-air museum, Devrent Valley, and go for a 4km walk in the Red Valley to visit some rock-hewn churches and fairy chimneys. Visit the Greek village of Cavusin and make a short visit to the Valley of the Pigeons. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Travel overland to Konya

After breakfast, drive to Konya (305 km), stopping to visit the 13th-century Seljuk caravanserai of Sultanhan en route. Later, visit the ancient site of Çatalhöyük where excavations are ongoing. Take in a Whirling Dervish show in the evening. Dinner and overnight will be in Konya.
