Once you land at Marrakech Airport, you will meet your guide, who will greet you and help you transfer your belongings to your hotel. You will have the remainder of the morning to relax and acclimate to your new environment. In the afternoon, a local licensed guide will take you on a monumental visit to the city of Marrakech.

The following morning, you will travel to Imioughlad (5,800 feet), which is found in the Ait Misana Valley. Your guide will take you to a weekly market at Asni, where you will meet the mule crew accompanying you throughout your hiking journey. You will enjoy a typical Berber tea ceremony before loading up the mules. Start your hike up the mountain of Toubkal at Imlil; you will cross the Tacht pass (7,100 feet) through the juniper forest, visiting some cliff-hanging Berber villages. You will stop for lunch at the Tiziane Springs; dinner and lodging for tonight will be in a typical Berber home.

After breakfast, you will have time to prepare for a day of walking up the slopes of these valleys. When ready, you will begin by climbing the mountain to Teouti Pass (7,000 feet) and hiking through the evergreen juniper forests and flowing springs. After lunch, you will continue your active tour hiking onward to the Tikkent Valley. Proceed on your tour by walking in the morning through the valley of Tikkent. You will visit the Azaden Valley, which ends at the pass of the Tougdalt (8,200 feet). You will eat lunch in the open air of the Thuya Forest, bordering a mountain stream. You will then continue onward to Tizi Oussem, where you will camp for the night. This is natural camping in the open of this plateau.

After breakfast, you will hike across the pass of Mezzik (9,000 feet) and descend to Imlil-Aren. You will then climb to the Marabout of Sidi Chamharouch (9,550 feet), where you will spend the night camping in tents.

Sidi Chamharouch is a notable and intriguing destination in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, near the base of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. This site, often called the "Kingdom of Sidi Chamharouch," blends natural beauty and cultural significance, attracting both trekkers and pilgrims.

Named after a local saint, Sidi Chamharouch is revered as a sacred site and is believed to have healing powers. The area features a prominent, white-painted rock that stands out against the mountainous landscape, marking the location of a shrine. This shrine is a place of pilgrimage where locals and visitors seek blessings and cures for various ailments.

Beyond its spiritual significance, Sidi Chamharouch serves as a popular rest stop for trekkers on their way to the summit of Mount Toubkal. The surrounding scenery, characterized by rugged terrain, picturesque valleys, and traditional Berber villages, adds to the allure of the journey. The site offers a unique glimpse into the region's spiritual and cultural practices, making it a fascinating spot for both adventurers and those interested in Moroccan traditions.

Trekking at this altitude means being above vegetation, so the mountains here are deserted. These high mountains feel like being on the world's roof. You will follow your mountain guide along these paths to the Neltner refuge (11,000 feet). Over this plateau, green in summer and white in winter, you will walk to Lake Ifni. You will leave your campsite early to climb to the Toubkal summit. Upon your arrival there, you will eat lunch. Afterward, you will visit Lake Ifni and return to the Refuge for the night.

Mount Toubkal, located in the High Atlas Mountain range of Morocco, is the highest peak in North Africa, standing at 4,167 meters (13,671 feet) above sea level. It is a prominent destination for trekkers and mountaineers from around the world due to its accessible routes and stunning panoramic views.

Reaching the summit provides breathtaking views of the surrounding Atlas Mountains and the vast landscapes of Morocco. Despite its height, the climb is non-technical, making it accessible to hikers with good fitness levels and some trekking experience. The best times to attempt the ascent are in the spring and fall when the weather conditions are most favorable.

Your hiking journey has peaked, and it is time to return to the lower elevation at Imioughlad. You will descend from Toubkal to Imlil. You will spend your morning riding to Imlil, where you will leave your mules. Bid goodbye to your mountain guide and sherpas. Maybe some other Berber friends you have made along your hiking tour of the Toubkal. Meet your driver to head back to Marrakech, where you will stay in a hotel.

You will spend your day exploring Marrakech and touring the city with a professional local guide. Your tour will feature the city’s major monuments and museums. You will visit the exotic markets and workshops in the city’s older section in the afternoon and finish your afternoon in the bustling Jamaa El Fna Square. You will enjoy a festive dinner in a typical Moroccan restaurant with traditional local entertainment.

You will depart from Marrakech airport in the morning to connect with your flight back home.
