3 Days Trekking in the High Atlas Mountains:
From Ouirgane to Tiziane & Assif Zegzaw
Walking: 4-6 hrs daily | Driving: 3 hrs total
Day 1: Marrakech – Ouirgane - Tiziane
Our driver will come and pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Ouirgane, a beautiful Berber town in the High Atlas (2800 ft). You will meet our hiking guide and start on your trek. You will be crossing the salty river up to Tizi Takhrkhort (7200 ft). Have lunch by the river in the Azaden valley near Azerfsan in breath taking natural setting. Walk to the Tiziane where you will be welcomed in a typical Berber house where you will spend the night. (6200 ft).
Day 2: Tiziane – Mount Zegzawene
After breakfast, you will start your day trekking up to Tin N’Toutilte (2800 ft). Descend past the Asaka river towards the lush Dakant valley, where the trekking crew will prepare a lunch for you. Relax for a while and enjoy the flowing streams and the walnut trees. Then take off walking to the stone houses
village of Assif Zegzawne (5200 ft). Enjoy a night in a rural Berber home.
Day 3: Zegzawene – Ouirgane – Marrakech
Enjoy waking up in a Berber rural atmosphere with nature and Berber life. After breakfast, you will start your trek to the village of Tikhfiste which has the most beautiful view over the Ouirgane valley below. Continue walking to Torourd village, where you will stop for lunch. Hike past the hanging villages of Anraz and Angy before finishing back in Ouirgane (2800 ft), where you will leave the mules and the trekking crew and meet again with your driver who will take you back to Marrakesh.
